Diana Gabrielyan is an internationally celebrated pianist and educator recognized as one of the leading artists of her generation. Pierre Petit wrote in Le Figaro: “At the age of thirteen, Diana Gabrielyan shows overwhelming presence, passion, and sense of style.” Ivan Hewett of BBC Music Magazine noted, “Throughout she displays a clear, delicate touch… Gabrielyan brings out the varied colors of this music.”
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Diana’s musical journey began under the guidance of her mother, a violinist who was also her principal teacher in violin and piano. Her profound passion for music led to her first public concert at age five at the House-Museum of Aram Khachaturian. She later trained at the highly selective Tchaikovsky Music School for Talented Children and performed her first solo recital at age nine.
She is a prize-winner of more than 30 prestigious national and international piano competitions across Europe, the United States, and Armenia, 18 of which are first prizes. Notable awards include the Gramsci Prize, Rovere d’Oro Prize, Rospigliosi Prize in Italy, and the “F. Chopin – Hartford” Prize.
Her concert career includes performances at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro Malibran, Venice, Salle de Cinema, Paris, and other prominent venues across Italy and Armenia. She has been featured in over 30 major media outlets, including BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone, and Radio France. In 2014, her solo CD for Odradek Records was released, featuring works by Stravinsky, Shostakovich, Babadjanyan, and Mansuryan, receiving international acclaim.
In New York, Diana earned her MM at the Manhattan School of Music and served as a Collaborative Pianist in the Precollege Division. She currently teaches at Saint David's School and the NYC Piano Academy, and also mentors students at Concept Music School. She is presently a DMA candidate in Piano Performance at the Catholic University of America, under the guidance of world-renowned pianist M° N. Fitenko.
In 2017, she co-founded Musicali Sfumature (Musical Nuances) in Rome with her mother, Nelli Hakobyan, and in 2024 she established Musical Nuances Conservatory in New York City, bringing her refined European training and artistic philosophy to students in the United States. She is a member of elite music organizations including Steinway & Sons Teachers, AGBU Artists, and Odradek Records, celebrated for her exceptional artistry, discipline, and ability to inspire the next generation of performers.
Giuseppe Buscemi

Winner of international competitions and Naxos artist, Italian guitarist Giuseppe Buscemi, has performed concert tours throughout Europe and the USA. Giuseppe has been invited by renowned concert associations and presenters to perform in notable concert halls such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, Columbia University, and Casa Italiana ZerilliMarimò in New York City, and many Italian concert halls, among which are the “V. Bellini” in Catania, and the “D. Alighieri” in Ravenna.
As a versatile performer who feels comfortable both on classical and electric guitar, he was invited to play on the operacabaret “Only An Octave Apart”, produced by the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, starring Anthony Roth Costanzo and Justin Vivian Bond, and on GameOn!, a video-game concert produced by the New World Symphony Orchestra in Miami Beach, under the baton of the orchestrator and conductor Andy Brick. Eager to explore and expand the possibilities of his instrument in solo and chamber music settings, he has performed with renowned musicians such as Gianni Bicchierini, Leonardo Augello, CY Leo, and the BlackBox Ensemble, and has premiered works by internationally acclaimed composers such as Reiko Füting, Carlo Galante, and Paolo Marchettini.
His repertoire ranges from the Baroque era to the latest contemporary works, both in solo and chamber music, and for both classical and electric guitar. He is currently a member of Duo Crepuscolo, a violin-guitar duo based in New York City, with violinist Francesca Abusamra. The duo explores the more classical repertoire for the ensemble, as well as commissioning and premiering new works.
In 2018, Giuseppe recorded his first solo album, entitled “Come, heavy Sleep” and published by the label DotGuitar. The CD is focused on 20th century masterpieces composed by F. Martin, B. Britten, M. De Falla and J. Manén. In 2020 he recorded his second album, “Dances & Dreams”, with pianist Gianni Bicchierini, as the Antipodes Duo. The album, published by DaVinci Classics, brings attention to some of the masterpieces of the guitar-and-piano repertoire, and also includes the World Premiere recording of Carlo Galante’s “Cinque piccole serenate alla luna piena”, which is dedicated to the Antipodes Duo. His third CD, “Italian Guitar Rarities”, was published by Naxos in 2022. The program is focused on the evolution of the Italian repertoire for classical guitar, from Baroque to contemporary music.
His fourth and latest CD, titled “Transcendence”, and published by DotGuitar in 2023, shows a unique program of pieces arranged by Giuseppe for his harmonica-and-guitar duo with CY Leo. Giuseppe has also recorded on electric guitar, featured as a guest artist on a CD produced by electric guitarist Andrea Quartarone. All of his albums have received high critical praise from music magazines, such as American Record Guide, Yorkshire Post, Guitare Classique, Gitarre & Laute, and SeiCorde, and have been broadcast on radio stations such as RAI Radio 3, Radio Vaticana, Emisora del Sur, and The Intimate Guitar.
Giuseppe is a faculty member of renowned music schools in Manhattan, and also taught in Italian conservatories and music schools from 2013 to 2019, previous to relocating to New York City. Giuseppe has studied with Giovanni Puddu and graduated with Summa cum Laude and Honorific Mention both at “A. Corelli” Conservatory of Messina (Bachelor degree) and at Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “V. Bellini” of Caltanissetta (Master’s degree). He also attended the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” of Imola, for a Master’s degree in chamber music, where he graduated with honors, studying with Nazzareno Carusi.
Giuseppe is currently a candidate for the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City as a student of David Leisner, where he also works as teaching assistant on the guitar faculty. Giuseppe plays a Guido Di Lernia guitar, and is represented by Summerell Arts Management.

Karina Vartanian
Voice
Armenian soprano, Karina Vartanian is a recent graduate from the Manhattan School of Music in Vocal Performance. She graduated with the Josephine C. Whitford Award, a commencement honor recognizing exceptional achievement.
This past summer, she was seen as a Young Artist making her operatic role debut with the Winter Harbor Music Festival performing the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni. She then participated in The Art Song Preservation Society of New York’s Bel Canto Masterclass with Maya Sypert and performed in their summer concert series. Her partial opera role credits include Frasquita (Carmen), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), The Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), and Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro). Ms. Vartanian was invited to sing for the Pontifical Visit of His Holiness Aram I at the Rainbow Room in 2023 and was honored to perform again for His Holiness at The Garden City Hotel this past November. She joined Opera Night Long Island this past winter as a soloist for their Sunday Afternoon Concert Series. Ms. Vartanian was featured on the Armenian Creators (@armeniancreators) Instagram page in 2024 highlighting her work as an upcoming Armenian soprano. In 2019, Ms. Vartanian was a solo finalist in the Armenian Youth Talent Competition where she made her Carnegie Hall debut. Ms. Vartanian will be returning to Carnegie Hall this May where she will be a soloist for the AGBU Arts Concert Series. She is a former recipient of the AGBU Arts Scholarship from 2023-2025. During her time at MSM, she served as the Chair of Communications for the Womxn Organization, where she helped launch the school’s first ever Women’s History Month series and programmed the inaugural Women’s History Month Concert.
